Present: Peggy Perry, Mark Perry, Helene Bethke, Eunice McCredie, John Hess, Cheryl Lemanski, Judy Temby

We met next to the Avoca Lake at a member's home.

* May meeting minutes and treasurer's report were approved.
* We have 4 new members since our last meeting
* Our grant application was mailed off to Broderbund
* The microfilm of Montfort Rural Register is in the library (ARC-Platteville) up to 1995. Helene will print copies of missing/incomplete obits.
* We have Wisconsin State Affiliation with WSGS. Once a year we get a free 1/4 page ad in their newsletter.
* The WSGS seminar at Monona Terrace is charging $35 for a table. Included with this is 1 reduced cost admission to the seminar programs.
* Farmer's Appreciation Day update: we are waiting to get more information about a table. We are planning on a float with a tree and borrowing Mark and Peggy's Sesquicentennial Military Road flag to decorate part of the float. We are still searching for a sponsor. Mineral Point is having a July 5th Parade, 1 day later than usual due to the Mickey Mouse parade in Platteville on July 4th. Farmer's Appreciation Day is July 12th in Dodgeville.
* Fall Seminar - still planning
* Cemeteries:
Wyoming Twp - John H. has a copy of these
Helena - possibly a local historian in Arena has this
Fairview - Judy T. will do
North Otter Creek - Judy T. will do
St. Malachy's - was last done in 1976 by the Homemakers. Mark will look at ICHS to see what they have there.
* Research fees were discussed. Rock County takes donations only. Someone in South Dakota is charging $5 per obit. We should look around and see what other societies are charging for their research/lookups.
* We will set a fee for our research/lookups (with a discounted fee for members).
