July 1999 Meeting Summary
Present: Cheryl Schmidt, Kathy Stoltz, Peggy Perry, Mark Perry, Helene Bethke, and new member Robin Espensen.
November '98 minutes read and approved. Motion by Peggy, 2nd by Mark.
June minutes read and approved. Motion by Cheryl, 2nd by Robin.
Treasury report read and approved. Motion by Kathy, 2nd by Mark.
Cemetery Project:
Otter Creek is done (thanks Eunice, Judy & Janet)
Hyde - Kathy & Cheryl are working on this
Probate Indexing Project:
still on hold, working on doing cemeteries
Library Indexing Project:
still typing and adding more publications to the holdings
Web Site Stats - it's vacation time, we didn't look for any stats
Parade Reports:
handed out our 3-fold membership flyer
Dodgeville - green flyer - Peggy drove, Cheryl and children walked
Lone Rock - buff flyer - member Janet P handed these out
Mineral Point - salmon flyer - Mark drove, Peggy and Helene walked and the
heat index was 110 degrees! in Mineral Point, and much the same for Dodgeville
and Lone Rock that day.
By Laws Revisions:
We need to pay close attention to our current bylaws. We thought it passed
that evening by a majority vote. However our bylaws state we need 2/3 majority vote.
Motion to discard the old vote by Mark, 2nd by Cheryl
Motion to Start Fresh with new vote to include any new members that have joined since the first ballot was sent
by Peggy, 2nd by Helene
Peggy, Mark, and Helene are planning on attending the FGS seminar in St. Louis in August. They'll report their findings after they're return.
