Neil told of the Heritage Festival that is being organized in Dodgeville believed to be October 7. Peggy had received a letter from the organizer requesting our participation in this event. It was decided that we would participate, even if the date conflicts with the WSGS seminar date. It was felt that this type of local event was more important for the society representation. Neil told us that in years past, this event has been mostly booths. Mark suggested that we attempt to take the booth idea and add presentations on different research tips throughout the day. Neil will report next month on any new details and verify the date.

Peggy was asked to send a listing of the cemeteries compiled to date to all ICGS members for their input of any history items that they may have to add. Peggy stated that a deadline of the April 20, 2000 meeting will be the last date for any submissions to the book. The completion date for the publication is set for May 6 to be presented at our preservation workshop that day.

The membership list was brought up. After much discussion it was decided to continue listing the new members for each quarter in our newsletter. It was also decided that we would not give out space on our website or newsletter for other organization projects, except seminars/workshops. It was discussed to find out about charging for ad space in our newsletter.

ICHS is showing the movie about Winnie from Spring Green this weekend. Cheryl suggested that we show the movie as well in the Arena area. She will contact John Hess to see if we can borrow his film for our March meeting.

Next meeting dates are:
February 17, 2000 at Brewery Creek Inn in Mineral Point. Business of member Jeff Donaghue.
March 17, 2000 - to be determined
April 20, 2000 at Dodgeville City Hall
