ICGS Meeting Summary - July 2000

Treasury report and March & May minutes approved by consensus.

Heritage Days plans to have brochures to hand out at Blues Fest.

Cemetery Project: Kirkpatrick (Rewey) has been 'adopted'. Cemeteries that have been walked and are turned in to ICGS are St Joseph (Avoca), Avoca village and Carmel (Mifflin). Once data is entered into computer a print-out of will go back to the submitter for any corrections or changes before publishing. A page will be added for a placeholder for corrections, it will be called addendum in the table of contents.

Parade Report: Farmer's Appreciation Day (Dodgeville) We used an Enterprise Rental Car and had a cute 'Uncle Sam' doll waving to the crowd, lots of red, white and blue decorations!

Mineral Point, we didn't do the parade, as only Peggy was available.

Bylaws Review Vote:
Article I Membership Section 3 A record of the names and current addresses of all members shall be kept by the Correspondance secretary, a newly created and non-elected position.
Vote #1 10 yes (0 no votes)

Article II Officers Section 1. Elected Officers The elected officers shall be: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Publicity-Newsletter Officer. Change the Surname-Index chairperson to an appointed postition.
Vote #2 10 yes (0 no votes) Passed.

Probate Record Project: We paid $55.00 for supplies and haven't yet received them. A return receipt certified letter will be sent to ask for the goods or the money. We'll place a new order with Light Impressions if we don't receive our goods; or contact Orgins to see if we can get a better price (10% discount for societies). Helene will check in the Platteville ARC to see if the probate items we have, are or are not already microfilmed.
