ICGS Meeting Summary

Present: Peggy Perry, Mark Perry, Kathy Stoltz, Cheryl Schmidt, Dawn Phelan and a visitor, Sharon Stoltz
Treasurer's Report: Rent for the September meeting place, Tower Hill State Park, CTH C, Spring Green. Another library acquisition. May and June's bar graph was presented. Motion by Cheryl, 2nd by Dawn to approve. Passed.
Secretary's Report: Motion to approve by Dawn, 2nd by Kathy. Passed.
Cemetery Project: Otter Creek is plotted. Will be printed in book form sometime this fall.
Library: Dawn has been there and says it looks nice. It's going to be full. We have Everton's, DAR, Heritage Plus, NE Historical Register, NGS, DAR Lineage. Our DAR starts in the 1910-20's. Discussed the duplicate books. Motion by Peggy, 2nd by Mark to let the Dodgeville Public Library sell what they sell, then give the rest to another library in the county. Passed.
Farmer's Appreciation Day overview: Parade was hotter than Hades. Peggy handed out 3 brochures at the booth. Not much traffic this year.
Probate records: First run is done.
WSGS Membership renewal: Cheryl made the motion to renew our membership, Peggy 2nd. The benefits include free advertisement, free booth twice a year, and a link on their website.
Research Services: We need to do some redefining. So much to do now and we are behind. We now do anything for $10 an hour for members, $15 an hour for non-members; plus copy fees, etc. Kathy volunteered to make up a form for requests. Census records take so long to complete, we may have to reconsider including them. More discussion at the next meeting.

Kathy made a motion to adjourn, Dawn 2nd. Dawn didn't go swimming. The rest enjoyed cooling down in the pool.
