ICGS Meeting Summary

Present: Kathy Stoltz, Peggy Perry, Mark Perry, Cheryl Schmidt and Dawn Phelan

Secretary’s report was read and approved by Dawn, 2^nd by Kathy

Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Kathy, 2^nd by Dawn

Projects:

Library – nothing new
Moscow book – Dawn has totally scanned the book and is ready to OCR the text
Resource book – nothing new
Funeral cards – nothing new
Cemetery – Kathy and Cheryl spent Memorial Day at Avoca cemetery. They read another 100 stones
Online resource book - Julia Schoenbach has sent us 6 files of information. Peggy will be looking at the data and working to arrange it in a similar fashion as we did the Iowa County Resources.
Resource book: Cheryl is working on designing a cover for it. Once that’s done, then Peggy will be able to get it assembled in booklet form and send it to the printer

Discussion on putting our publications on CD’s was held. Peggy will price the cost of the CD’s and labels and get a cost estimate together for the next meeting. It was determined that previous publications would be offered on CD too and not just future ones.

June is dairy month and also brings Farmer’s Appreciation Day. Decided not to enter into the parade this year for Farmer’s Appreciation Day.
