Projects:
Talked about the possibility of burning CD’s for our current and future publications. Some ideas on pricing were discussed and the tentative plan is for:
The 2003 membership book was discussed also. We decided that we would create a new version this year and place it online in a hidden directory as we have been doing for the newsletters. Those without internet access would be mailed a copy.
Ancestor certificates were discussed again tonight. We decided to use the same paper that we have been using and find some generic press-on seals to use vs. printable ones. We weren’t certain what text we would print on it and decided that the generic “star” type seal would suit our purpose.
Discussion was held on imposing spending limits before needing the boards consent for purchase (such as library materials, etc). The maximum was set at $50 before board approval was needed. We also talked about having dual signatures needed on checks for over $50. We decided against this right now. We felt it might be too confusing for payees to know if the check was good or not with only 1 signature and we didn’t want to limit the opportunity to write checks to just once a month at the regular meeting.
