ICGS Meeting Summary – September 2003

Mail was routed around the table

Projects:

• Moscow Book – no file yet. Dawn promises to email it to Peggy before the next meeting date
• Funeral cards – nothing new
• Cemeteries – 2 more adopted! Highland Public by Helene Bethke and friend and Eden Bohemian by Doug Tomas
• Library – Lots of previous “buried” library items have been relocated. These items will need to be entered into the database and taken down to the library for shelving
• Resource manual – nothing new
• Probate records - We learned that the Probate office does not have any power to make any deals where the fees are concerned. Cheryl will contact the county executive and explain our project to him in hopes that he will be able to authorize some kind of deal.
• Certificates: both are officially completed and updated. Backorders are being filled and mailed this week

Publication books: These are at the printer now and should be done by Friday. Cheryl will mail them out when they are done.

Website: the new design has been rolled out – check it out! Indexing project: While cleaning and sorting, Peggy found a book on the history of Rewey – similar to what we have for Moscow. Once we have some more of these projects outstanding completed, this could be a potential indexing project for us. Cemetery books: Peggy contacted member Greg Crane about the possibility of drafting some of the cemeteries for us that have been turned in. One of the big holdouts on getting these completed is the graphical layout on the computer of the cemetery. Greg agreed to take a look at our request and see if this would be something that he could help with.
