ICGS Meeting Summary April 2004

Present: Cheryl Schmidt, Kathy Stoltz, Mark Perry, Peggy Perry and Sharon Stoltz

Projects:

• Library - nothing
• Moscow book - working on it
• Resource manual - nothing
• Funeral cards - nothing
• Cemeteries -
  • Last month we were asked for help on a project by a non-member. Cheryl has since emailed the woman asking her to attend one of our meetings so we could all see what material she had available and suggest some formats for her. Cheryl has not yet had a response
  • Peggy has 6 new cemeteries ready to get put together. Just need history of them and the driving directions and more books will be available.
• Probate records - Cheryl will contact Judge Dyke about the copying fees again.
• Research requests - We are all caught up with the exception of a brand new request that Eileen is working on.
• Website - Problems persist yet with some of the pages - template is not working as it should
• Goals -
  • Posters sent to Dawn and Helene for this month's meeting
  • Kathy is working on getting fax numbers for the newspapers together
  • Our offer to help is listed in one of the Scout magazines for the genealogy merit badge

New Business: Kathy requested that we review the formatting of the membership book to see if we could resise it, thus having less pages.
