In September 2000, ICGS was presented with a borrowed copy of the book Town of Moscow book - 1901 History. A determination was made in October 2000 to pursue indexing this book. Our plan was to have 3 people (built in proofreading system) index the places, businesses, photos, bios, and names found in the pages of this softcover book. A new, indexed version, of this book is the expected final product.

Plan:

• Index this book for all place names, people names, and portraits found within
• Find 3 people to index the entire book to build in proof reading. Any discrepancies found will have a 4th person review the passage to determine the entry to use
• Scan this book into the computer for page layout
• Publish this book with the newly created index

Status updates:

• Indexers were found and presented with a copy of the book along with instructions for what to look for and formatting
• Indexing is completed and 2 of the 3 indexers work have been received.
• Compilation of the indexes has begun - waiting the arrival of the 3rd index before the final proofing is done
• The 3rd indexer's work has been received but not yet compiled into the other 2 works.
• Scanning of the book is in progress.
• Scanning has been completed and is in the process of being OCR'd
• We found 2 passages in this book that are written in Norwegian that we are attempting to translate. Once the translation is complete, it is ready for publication,
