Free queries may be placed on this site simply by completing this online form. Queries are published in our quarterly newsletter (March, June, September, and December).

To help all of our members (including those who are not on-line) help you in your quest to find your missing ancestor, we require your mailing address. Your address will NOT be placed on-line at any time, it is published only in our print newsletters.

Remember, your query MUST show an Iowa County Wisconsin connection to be posted on this site. Queries without an Iowa County Wisconsin connection may not be processed. The cut-off date for receiving queries for each quarterly newsletter is the first day of the month the newsletter comes out. Queries received after that will be posted to the web page and held for the next newsletter.

BUCKINGHAM Looking for information on the family of Abraham BUCKINGHAM that lived in Dodgeville in 1862. Thank you, Noretta Glup (Sep 2004)

DEAN Looking for any information on the family of William Cyrus DEAN and Martha Nicolls BUCKINGHAM married in Dodgeville Sept 21, 1862. Noretta Glup (Sep 2004)

NANCOLAS/NANCOLIS: Seeking information on this family that lived in Rewey at one time. Thank you. Guy Lawyer (Sep 2004)

NELSON I am looking for relatives of Oscar NELSON. I can only remember one daughter Margeret Cecelia NELSON, Uncle Oscar and second wife owned a jewelry store in Dodgeville. Thanks. Inette Neumann Courval (Mar 2004)

STEWART Looking for my g.g.g.g. grandfather, James STEWART, who is supposed to be buried in Iowa County, Wisconsin. My information states that he died in 1865 at Iowa County, Wisconsin (his wife was Mary JONES STEWART. I checked all the cemetery indexes online on the ICGS website and did not locate any STEWARTS. The only unknown surname with a first name of James is buried at St. Malachy's Cemetery (however, I am fairly sure they were not catholic). Many of their children and several other family members were born in Iowa County so I'm sure there must be some records of all these STEWARTS? Wendy Long (Sep 2004)

WAGNER Seeking information on my grandmother, Elizabeth WAGNER and her parents, Wenzel and Elizabeth WAGNER. Cemetery records indicate that she was born in Ridgeway in 1888. Census records indicate that her parents were immigrants who possibly immigrated in 1871 and were married in 1872. Additionally, census records indicate that Wenzel and Elizabeth had 9 children, 4 of which are living at the time of the 1900 census (John, Annie, Lizzie, and unknown). Annie and Lizzie went to Montana sometime between 1901 - 1905 and John stayed behind with their parents. Wenzel died between 1910 and 1920 and his wife died sometime between 1920 and 1930. The 1930 census shows John living in the same location alone. Seeking the names of the remaining 6 children of Wenzel and Elizabeth along with Wenzel and Elizabeth's parents names. George Pearson (Sep 2004)
