Free queries may be placed on this site simply by completing this online form. Queries are published in our quarterly newsletter (March, June, September, and December).

To help all of our members (including those who are not on-line) help you in your quest to find your missing ancestor, we require your mailing address. Your address will NOT be placed on-line at any time, it is published only in our print newsletters.

Remember, your query MUST show an Iowa County Wisconsin connection to be posted on this site. Queries without an Iowa County Wisconsin connection may not be processed. The cut-off date for receiving queries for each quarterly newsletter is the first day of the month the newsletter comes out. Queries received after that will be posted to the web page and held for the next newsletter.

DAVIES I am seeking information on my great-grandfather, John DAVIES, who was born in Pennsylvania in 1847 of Welsh parents who moved to Highland, Iowa County, WI in the 1850s. His younger brothers and sisters were born in Highland. My grandfather (Earl DAVIES, b. 1891, d. 1973), reported that he had a cousin, Joe DAVIES, who lived in Highland. John DAVIES listed his name as John DAVIS when he ran away and enlisted for the civil war in Madison. Otherwise I have no information on my great-great-grandparents names. John Rapp (Jun 2005)

DAVIES I would like to update my last post. Though my great-grandfather John DAVIES lived in Highland, I think his parents were Benjamin and Sarah DAVIES of Ridgeway, still in Iowa County. They had a child named John in 1845, which is the right year, who had left home by 1870. If anyone has information on their gravesites in or near Ridgeway or any other information on them and their descendants, including a Joe DAVIES or DAVIS, a cousin of my grandfather who lived in Highland, I would very much like to hear from them. John Rapp (Jun 2005)
