I believe my ancestors from the 1850's may be buried there. Any transcriptions, photo's? I am related to the SMITH & BENOY family from England who lived in Highland. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Patty Smith (Jul 2008) COBB: I am looking for the grave of my great-grandmother. Lillian Armena COBB B 1876 Richland Co.,WI. Married and divorced from Thomas SHIREMAN. Then married to Louis Marion JONES.. Oral tradition says that she was in the Oakfield TB Sanitarium and died there 25 February, 1940. She was buried from the Oakfield Methodist Church and her grave is in the Avoca Cemetery, Iowa Co. WI. I have not been able to find records to substantiate this and would appreciate assistance. Thank you Jean Wiechmann (Jul 2008) EDMUNDS: My G grandfather Simon EDMUNDS came from Iowa County; His father Lars ANDREAS and brother Ole EDMUNDS both worked in the mines in that area.
