Mineral Point

  • Mineral Point
    Mineral Point is located in the southern tier of towns and is bounded on the north by Dodgeville; on the east by Waldwick; on the south by LaFayette county; and on the west by Linden. It contains a total of 39,680 acres. The early settlement of the town was made at the point now known as Mineral Point City. In March of 1828, the first hotel of the county was opened. 1829 was also the year that the following people made their way to Mineral Point: Governor Henry Dodge, Garrett D. Pharris, Mr. Miller; James Aid, John F. O'Neil, Capt. John B. Terry and Paschal Bequette
